INTRODUCTION TO THE AWARDS
Ghana is rapidly emerging as a growing, attractive and a viable property investment destination with a study inflow of property investors. Property has now been seen as the bedrock of the nation.

The banks have recognized this with an aggressive opening of branches across the country accompanied by various services to entice the public. Confidence has returned to the industry evidenced by a South Korea investing 10 billion USD in 2010.

The property market also has seen significant strides especially in the Real Estate sector of the Ghanaian economy. Such is the interest in the sector that new entrants continue to register as corporate members on a regular basis.

Growth in the property market reflects the increasing importance that Ghanaians place on shelter as a requirement for good quality life and investment. To further consolidate the gains of the sector and emphasize the need of quality in the industry, there is a felt need to institute an award platform that will recognize excellence and spur industry players on to achieve same.

Investors have witnessed continues democratic stability taking place in Ghana and are increasingly searching for and looking to gain from quality investment opportunities that present themselves daily in the property industry. The Country oil find has cermented the investment opportunities for quality investment

The Award is  launched to help to shine the spotlight on the Nations' most active and successful property agents, developers and financiers and the project they have been responsible for.

The categories will reward the very best examples of property development in Ghana , investments, innovation, marketing, management and consultancy.

This exciting award ceremony will take place on Saturday the 30th of July 2010 and it is expected to attract an audience of around 1500 of the most important figures from the Ghanaian and African property scene.

The awards are being organized by Property Express Magazine and the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and supported by the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) in association with the professionals in the Industry and will be based on a formula used in the UK re- designed with the stakeholders in the property industry in Ghana to suite the African Market

Who Should Participate?
Nominations will be accepted from companies or individuals who fall within the following industries:
- Individuals or firms  providing financial services. These include mortgage lenders and brokers, accountants and currency transfer services.
- Home builders, developers, contractors, estate agents and service providers.

CONDITION FOR PARTICIPATION

Participants should be a registered company or individual (ex-Registrar's Generals Department) in the field of Real Estate, Home Accessories, Allied sectors and Finance industry in Ghana. Participants outside Ghana also qualify for submission provided they have a significant Ghanaian involvement.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

Projects submitted should be supervised by  professionals in the Ghanaian Industry i.e Surveyors, Architects and Engineers. The project should also be covered by an insurance policy be it commercial or residential.

Companies can submit multiple entries per category.
Companies operating full service concept in providing real estate and allied solution for top end segment to budget segment can submit entries across segments if they so wish.
Property and other products or services must have been completed, occupied or used.

Providing Your Project as a finalist

As a finalist, your chosen project for nomination will be viewed, read, projected on a screen for the comments from appointed technical reviewers for short listing.
We therefore advise you to provide your chosen project in the following formats

1. Hard Copy Print.
2. Electronic versions on DVD, CD for visual screening purposes
3. Write up containing the following:

• Business background and objectives
• Other Construction Objectives
• Innovative concept used to solve the country's housing needs.
